MacOS Monterey 12.4 is Out! — What’s New?

After a month and a half of sameyness, I just received “You have an update!” notification on my Mac M1.

It’s the MacOS Monterey 12.4. And I’ve noticed some really useful changes worth mentioning.

Here’s a list of four useful changes Apple made this update.

#1. Universal Control is no longer in Beta!

The “Universal Control” feature — first introduced in macOS Monterey — has stayed in beta till the previous update macOS 12.3.1.

It almost bug-lessly allowed users to shift their mouse pointer to a nearby iPad or Mac signed in to the same Apple ID, thereby allowing seamless control of the nearby device, and really quick file transfers.

And we’ve got a great news with macOS 12.4 — It’s out of beta.

This means Apple has verified it’s working perfectly and has passed all the test cases without any bugs or stability issues. Such a sweet news!
