Since the iPhone 6, Apple has tended to "eliminate the storage capacity most needed by users."

Although Apple claims that releasing larger capacity iPhones meets users' future needs, they often become obsolete due to system sluggishness before their storage capacity is fully utilized, much like buying clothes too big for children to grow into.

Notable examples include the lack of a 32GB iPhone 6 Plus, a 64GB iPhone 7, and a 128GB iPhone X.

However, in the recent generations of iPhones, we have witnessed a change in Apple's approach.

Take last year's iPhone 15 series as an example. The standard iPhone 15 offers 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB options, while the more expensive Pro series even provides up to 1TB of storage.

Nevertheless, according to some recent rumors, even 1TB seems insufficient to satisfy the growing demand for iPhone storage. In July 2024, a digital information website reported, "Media leaks suggest that the iPhone 16 will offer a 2TB storage version."

But is this the case?
