Many iPhone Users Are Reporting Weird Screentime Issues With iOS 14.2

12 Hours from an App I Don’t Even Have Installed

My screentime claims I used my phone for 13 hours today. And what’s weirder is that it’s all coming from the Apple Support app… an app I don’t even have installed.

Turns out I’m not the only one seeing weird issues with screentime. There doesn’t seem to be a correlation in regards to the iPhone model. It also doesn’t seem to be a very common problem.

However, others have been reporting other odd screentime glitches. Some have reported their screentime being inaccurately high with no app to blame. And others are also reporting that their phone claims they’ve spent hours on websites they’ve never visited.

And many more people have claimed other problems with iOS 14 giving outrageously inaccurate screentime stats. Reports on Apple Discussion boards and Reddit have been surfacing. User kenijean had their settings app clock in 19 hours of use.

Another person’s screentime had Twitter open for 20 hours and they didn’t even have the Twitter app downloaded.

It seems that everyone’s scenario is a bit different but as far as my research has shown, it seems to be a bug consistent with iOS 14.2. It seems to be yet another bug with iOS 14.2 that Apple is holding the fix off until they release 14.3 instead of releasing a 14.2.1 version.
