The second half of 2020 might be the biggest year for Apple. With high expectations for the new iPhone 12, Apple Watch Series 6 and Apple Silicon MacBooks, Apple also launching its new iPad. After the new iPad Pro released earlier this year, its time for Apple to update its mid-range model, which is the iPad Air. So, what do we expect from the upcoming iPad Air?

Design

The current iPad Air has the same footprint as the 10.5-inch iPad Pro that was launch back in 2017. This year, Apple is expecting to follow the same footsteps by releasing a new iPad that uses the same design language as the iPad Pro. It may feature the same boxy design as the iPad Pro as well. So, goodbye to the old matte chamfered edges.

Display

Since we may have the same design as the iPad Pro, it also means that we are expecting the same all-screen design with rounded corners or known as the Liquid Retina Display. Unfortunately, it won’t feature the smooth 120hz ProMotion display since that feature is reserved to the Pro models, just like the upcoming iPhone 12 Pro.
