Apple have recently premiered their upcoming natural history documentary series “Prehistoric Planet,” narrated by Sir David Attenborough. This marks the second title on Apple TV+ in which Sir David narrates following “The Year Earth Changed” chronicling the environment and animal life following the pandemic and worldwide lockdowns.

The docuseries is executive produced by Jon Favreau, Mike Gunton and the producers of the BBC’s “Planet Earth” have also worked on the series. ““Prehistoric Planet” combines award-winning wildlife filmmaking, the latest paleontology learnings and state-of-the-art technology to unveil the spectacular habitats and inhabitants of ancient Earth for a one-of-a-kind immersive experience. Produced by the world-renowned team at BBC Studios Natural History Unit with support from the photorealistic visual effects of MPC (“The Lion King,” “The Jungle Book”), “Prehistoric Planet” presents little-known and surprising facts of dinosaur life set against the backdrop of the environments of Cretaceous times, including coasts, deserts, freshwater, ice worlds and forests. Travel back 66 million years to when majestic dinosaurs and extraordinary creatures roamed the lands, seas and skies,” describes Apple.

The series will be premiered as a week long special event, with the first episode being released today and a new episode being made available each day until Friday. Music for the series is composed by Academy Award winner Hans Zimmer.

The BBC Studios produced docuseries will be available to stream globally exclusively on Apple TV+ as of today, May 23, 2022. To watch all you will need is an active subscription to Apple TV+ which can be accessed through the Apple TV app or at tv.apple.com. Also coming soon to the lineup of Apple Originals includes “Cha Cha Real Smooth,” and the third season of “For All Mankind.”
