Couple of weeks ago I explained to you why the new Apple iPad Pro M1 rocks. It still does but there are some serious facts you should get to know before deciding to buy an iPad Pro M1. These reasons are obviously subjective and may not be a serious matter for somebody but that’s for you to decide.

1.The Size

It is HUGE. If you ever get the chance to hold it in your hand I’m pretty sure you’ll understand what I’m talking about. This 12.9” is quite a large display size. It is almost impossible to steadily keep it in single hand. It looks like an ultra-thin laptop. When it is with the Magic Keyboard it is literally a laptop. So it maybe uncomfortable for some to work with this enormous device.

Yes, you can go for the smaller version, but you won’t get the exact same features as this.

2.Mobility

With huge size comes less mobility. If you were using a smaller iPad (or any kind of Tablet), you’ll be able to use it anywhere. For an example, even in a bus or a train if you have the urgency to use it you can just take it out and use. It consumes lesser space than this. Obviously you can bring this to anywhere at anytime and can be used in anywhere. If you’re having a bag that perfectly matches to carry a 11” tablet won’t be enough for this. Even if it did, you’ll have to go through hell when taking this out. You can avoid this buy just buying a new bag or using a laptop carrying case or something like that. Then again, it isn’t easy to handle this in a public place. This can be quite unstable when placed in the magic keyboard (I’m not saying that the others are stable but I’m saying that this is much unstable than those).

3.Price

Some of you may already know that this Tablet costs more than a entry level Apple MacBook Air equipped with M1. Unless iPad Pro 12.9” is the exact solution for your necessity it is best for you to go for the MacBook Air. The Magic Keyboard adds more money to the bill and you can save some for another Apple or non-Apple device if you decide to choose the MacBook Air.

4.Display

This Liquid Retina XDR display is the best closest display to an OLED display. But Apple always had great displays with their iPads, even 3 or 4 year old iPad displays still look great. This XDR display is a major reason to this high price tag. But does it worth it? That’s for you to decide? The 11” version doesn’t include this XDR display and costs far less money than this.

So, these are the reasons to avoid buying an iPad Pro if you are really concerned about it. All of these are completely subjective and I’m quite sure majority will find these totally irrelevant for them. But it is always better to go with the Apple MacBook Air or iPad Air because you can save some money and it is as much as powerful like the iPad Pro. Even MacBook Air has a better Operating System than iPads. Unless you are in the extreme need of an iPad Pro 12.9”, Apple MacBook Air and iPad Pro 11” version is always there for you. The choice is yours.
