As we approach the last month of 2024, it seems likely that Apple has completed all new releases for the year.

But that means we can now look forward to next year’s releases. The most likely first announcement of 2025 is the 4th generation iPhone SE (or iPhone SE 4) — slated for a March 2025 release.

The current iPhone SE 3 was released in March 2022, so it’ll be three years between the two generations.

There have been plenty of rumours surrounding the next-generation iPhone SE, so let’s take a look at what we can potentially expect and how it will fit into the entire iPhone family.

Design

The current iPhone SE is the last Apple device officially sold with the beloved Home button.

Every other Apple device you can buy from either their online or physical store no longer has the Home button — unless you look at used shops or other authorised dealers.

This will all change with the 4th generation iPhone SE as Apple is said to be using the iPhone 14 as the design for the 4th generation iPhone SE.
