The Final Season Of “Dickinson” Coming Soon To Apple TV+
Apple have recently announced that the third and final season of their hit comedy series “Dickinson,” which first premiered with the launch of Apple TV+ will stream globally on Friday, November 5, 2021, exclusively on Apple TV+.
The series, which is created, written and executive produced by Alena Smith, and starring Academy Award nominee Hailee Steinfeld, who also executive produces, will premiere with the first three episodes, followed by one new episode weekly every Friday thereafter through December 24, 2021. Like the first two series’ this series also has ten new episodes.
Much of the original ensemble cast will reprise their roles in this final season which includes: Toby Huss, Adrian Blake Enscoe, Anna Baryshnikov, Ella Hunt, Amanda Warren, Chinaza Uche, Zosia Mamet, Will Pullen, and Jane Krakowski. Wiz Khalifa, is also set to return as the character of Death. The third season will introduce some new characters which include Ziwe as Sojourner Truth, Billy Eichner as Walt Whitman, and Chloe Fineman as Sylvia Plath.
The series is a half-hour comedy that explores the life of poet Emily Dickinson as she battles through the constraints of family, gender and society. It is set in the nineteenth century and is a coming-of-age comedy series. The second season focused on the writers position on fame with Emily Dickinson no longer keeping her literary life private as we see her works swung into the public eye. This new season surrounds “Emily Dickinson’s most productive time as an artist falls amid the raging American Civil War and an equally fierce battle that divides her own family. As Emily tries to heal the divides around her, she wonders if art can help keep hope alive, and whether the future can be better than the past,” as reported by Apple.
