We Need To Talk About Some Honest iPhone 17 Pro Max Truths
My one-week-later thoughts!
I’ve now spent a week with the iPhone 17 Pro Max, but it’s unlike any other first week I’ve spent with Apple’s previous flagship smartphones.
The reason is simple, and comes in the form of the iPhone Air. Apple’s latest super-slim addition to its smartphone lineup is my new daily driver, having replaced the adequate but unremarkable iPhone 16e.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max has, therefore, become a secondary device.
This immediately places my usage of the phone you might be considering buying into the ’irregular’ category. I get that. But I’d rather be honest about what I’m doing with the 17 Pro Max and, conversely, I think it’s actually a very good test.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max is firmly a production phone for me. I’ve used it twice already to shoot content for my business, and that’s where it feels most at home, when you bear in mind that the camera system is the biggest differentiator from the rest of the lineup.
