Apple just showed off the latest improvements coming to their software platforms at the WWDC’25 keynote a few hours ago. This 93-minute-long keynote featured their six major platforms — iOS, watchOS, tvOS, visionOS, macOS, and iPadOS.
This year, they had two themes rather than just one — a design theme as well as a functional theme. The design theme spelled ‘Liquid Glass’, giving their software a more translucent, glass-like look, while the functional theme revolved around their ‘Foundation Models Framework’ that would allow third-party app developers to leverage the LLMs and build them into their apps. These two themes were the foundation of the entire event.
And then they went on to show off the latest features coming to their different platforms. For the sake of consistency, they even chose to rebrand all their OSes consistently after the year of release — 2026. Hence, iOS 26, watchOS 26, and so on.
