Announcing Macro Hackathons: the first NFT Financialization Hackathon
Over the past 2 years, NFT financialization infrastructure has emerged alongside the meteoric rise in popularity of NFTs, mainly serving trading and valuation activity for NFTs as collectables (PFPs, art, game assets).
Existing examples are protocols that allow users to find liquidity for their NFTs such as marketplaces, aggregators, liquidity pools, NFT-collateralized loans, lending aggregators, renting, fractionalization, auction houses. Tools that help grade and price NFTs (can be algorithmic or manual), wallet watchers, and analytics dashboards. Financial NFTs like Uniswap v3 positions, Solv vouchers, NFTfi promissory notes. Emerging products include NFT derivatives, indices, options, intelligence, collection management, and flash loans…
We are only scratching the surface of what’s possible with NFTs as an asset class. With this hackathon, we hope to accelerate experimentation in this space and surface the next generation of protocols that enhance the productivity, utility, and financial use cases of NFTs.
