The beginning of episode 3 of The L Word Generation Q is like if an allergy medication ad came to life. Dani, Sophie, Micah, and José spontaneously dance in the kitchen of their Under the Tuscan Sun villa in Los Angeles. How can they afford this place?? And who has time to dance before work in the morning???

Sophie and Dani, like normal human couples do all the time, run up the steps hand-in-hand to their bedroom to get dressed. They have a very dramatic conversation about wedding dresses and we’re reminded Dani’s mother died, but they don’t really get into it, because everything on The L Word has to be shrouded in mystery. Also we’re reminded Sophie and Dani really have no chemistry at all.

Later, Dani and her dad have a very anti-climatic reconciliation after she quit his company. He offers to get them the Biltmore Hotel for their wedding venue. It seems like he’s planning some kind of Red Wedding situation.

Finley wakes up with Rebecca, the woman she met at the bar while getting drunk with Shane, and we find out Rebecca goes to church — on weekdays — and this spooks Finley, a former Catholic. When she gets to work she explains the situation to Sophie, who doesn’t really care because she hates Finley. Then Sophie says she’s been wanting to look at MCC, Rebecca’s church, as a wedding…
