November 2017 was a historic month for cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin hit $10.000 and almost every coin is growing fast aswell. The cryptocurrency scene is busy creating the ecosystem of the future and also we at MADANA have been very busy.

To create and launch the MADANA network we meet many different people to spread the news, get supporters and try to better understand future participants needs.

Maastricht, Maastricht University

At the beginning of the month, we traveled to Maastricht where we are working with Professor Martin Carree. MADANA is used as a business case in a lecture and the ambitious students are developing systems around MADANA. We enjoyed introducing the students to cryptocurrencies and are looking forward to a diverse outside perspective. Maastricht University is known for having one of the best International Business programmes in the world and we are excited to have such a strong partner on board.

Düsseldorf, DWNRW

Shortly after our team was invited to come to the DWNRW-SUMMIT. An event where Germany’s biggest state NRW is putting “Digitalization” on the spotlight.

Dammermann, State Secretary in North Rhine-Westphalia

Not only did we talk to many excited crypto enthusiast and cryptocurrency experts, but also Christoph Dammermann, the State Secretary for Commerce, Innovation, Digitalization and Energy in NRW, visited our booth. Our CEO Christian fascinated him with our project.
Although we are a global startup with a global vision we don’t forget our roots and are looking forward to many partnerships from our home region.

Berlin

Not only is Berlin the capital of Germany, but also one of the global cryptocurrency hotspots. With many crypto titans having their base in Berlin we always enjoy to visit and connect. Berlin is the right place to push MADANA forwards. From the second we arrived our calendar was completely booked. We rushed from meeting to meeting, barely having enough time to get a sandwich on the way.

At first we met our friend and advisor Max Kordek and after congratulating him for the amazing milestone he reached with Lisk (1 billion market cap!) we got valuable advice for the strategic position of MADANA.
Our next meetings included high profile partners from the consulting space where we discussed strategic partnerships and future use cases. We can not tell too much, but are looking forward to showcase the fruits of these meeting in the near future. We gained important new advisors and left with the understanding that MADANA is a highly political startup.

We gave Max Kordek a little gift for reaching the 1 billion marketcap milestone

As usual we also met potential investors for our project. In between our CEO Christian Junger gave an interview with the famous Rick Falkvinge, the founder of the Swedish Pirate Party. In a long interview, Rick and Christian talked about their roots, MADANA, Blockchain politics and the evolution of Blockchain. The interview is four videos long and available on the “We Are All Satoshi” channel on youtube. We highly recommend to take a look. Below is our favorite part: Blockchain And Politics

Frankfurt, Stuttgart, München

A week later we traveled into the opposite direction of Germany. Over the weekend we traveled to Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Munich and back to Aachen. In our tour through half Germany, we once again met strategic partners and investors. It is important to secure the funding to push our project ahead. We had some great talks with VC firms. Not surprisingly also they are interested in cryptocurrency and are eager to enter the Blockchain scene.

Brussels

We at MADANA know that there is a political challenge behind Blockchain. Many interesting use cases are bound by laws and the giants in control refuse to move fast. We are trying to change that by pressuring politicians to take the chance and shape the future by bringing cryptocurrencies to the masses.

Christian and Dieter with Eva Kaili, Member of the European Parliament for Greece

MADANA’s Leadership met up with Eva Kaili in Brussels. Eva Kaili is a Member of the European Parliament for Greece and one of the major proponents of Blockchain in politics. She regularly meets the most important people in finance and business to promote Blockchain preparedness in Europe and we were glad to speak to her about MADANA’s role in the EU. We always enjoy talking to politicians highly knowledgeable in new technologies and to share a common vision.

Outlook

The Christmas season is upon us but we are still hard at work bringing MADANA forwards. Look out for us as we are working on big things behind the scene. Over the next weeks our team will be in Malta to talk to parts of the government and talk about ICO regulation. Our team will attend the Blockchain and Bitcoin conference on the 7th December there. We also will be at the Blockchain Premasters in Cologne at the 12.12.
