Say hello to Born Co.
This is my first time writing on medium and it’s also the first post for our studio blog, so try not to laugh too much. Since we started our studio we always had in mind the idea to run a blog for it (it actually started as an ugly wordpress blog with dribbble shots and some illustrations we did). We are not, by any means total experts, and we’re still learning everyday the craft of running a design studio, so we’ll not be posting any “This is how to get more clients” advice, because every team works different. Instead we’ll be sharing our thoughts, our inspiration and our learnings on this adventure.
At Born, we’re not afraid to be transparent and show our process and our ways, even though almost every agency and studio from our city seems to struggle with this. We’re not magicians and we’re definitely not NASA scientists, we’re regular people finding creative solutions involving our clients in the process. That’s the main reason why you can go to our instagram and see our day to day, the plants at the studio or even what we’re eating sometimes!
Now, you may be thinking: “Why are they writing in english if they’re from México?”. The answer is very simple: language is a tool, not a barrier. Turns out we live in a very special place of México where we’re only a few hours away to meeting a potential client on the U.S. but we’re far enough to still be proud to be Mexicans. We share a border with one of the biggest economies in the world, we share our 45ºC (113 ºF if you’re actually in the U.S.). Of course, our daily work is done in our native language, we’re not crazy enough to be walking around speaking in other languages just because; but here on the internet we want to get our message and our work as far as possible, and we want it to be understood in Australia, Canada, Sweden, Japan, you name it.
So here it is. In this connected world we want to be a part of the network, and we also want to keep working with our local and small business clients.
