The Home is within

Introspection is the observation or examination of one’s own mental and emotional state, mental processes; the act of looking within oneself.
Everything begins within. Humans make a very serious error over and over and over. That error is thinking that something or someone outside ourselves determines how we experience life, but they do not. It’s that which is inside ourselves that leads to every single experience we encounter.
When this light bulb comes on and you finally ‘get’ what I’m saying, everything else falls into place. You see the light.
Nothing that happens to you can be separated from your mental processes.
Your needs are never filled by others. They are only ever filled by you. Others should be looked at more like icing on the cake or paint on the canvas. But not the cake itself.
Anything that brings us joy and peace or sadness and sorrow, for that matter, has it’s beginning, middle and end all in the Home. The Home is within and the Home is the only place where we connect with the Whole. The Whole of life.
What I’m saying is that loving yourself, supporting yourself, encouraging yourself, believing in yourself, being happy within yourself, and finding peace within yourself is up to you, not others.
Filling your own needs all by yourselves does something else, as well. It makes a better person overall, because it removes our need and our ability to place blame. Responsibility is exclusively yours.
You recognize everyone else as ‘simply other people’ whether you’re married to them, been their friend for years or they are strangers on the street. They cease to be someone who has to do anything for you or fill any of your needs.
By being dependent only upon yourself for every experience, you can love others for just who they are not for what you must get from them, because you don’t need anything from them. All your needs are filled in the Home.
Introspection is the act of looking within oneself.
