Nagaland is a home to unique tribal cuisine. Bamboo steamed fish, dried fish, sticky rice and steamed pork is a common festive food. Rice beer and other local drinks like zutho and tutse are preferred drinks. Naga people are fond of non vegetarian food. The local naga market is known for the selling of various non-veg items like snakes, frog, worms, snails, moth etc.

Nagaland is rich in its culture, natural beauty and history. There is a war cemetery of the soldiers and a tank used in world war II in Kohima. Situated at Bayavu Hill, about 1½ km from the main town Kohima, there is a state museum, it houses the rare artifacts, precious ornaments and historical items of naga tribes. Dzuokou valley is the heaven of Nagaland. It is full of life. Its natural beauty is mesmerising and incredible.
