Honeycomb

Like bees buzz

To a hive,

You drew me in

With words and promises.

Poison spilled

From your mouth,

And you called it honey.

You called me honey.

Dripped into my ears,

My brain like wax-

Malleable. You shaped me

Into the perfect girl,

Perfect for you.

And like a larvae,

Finally grown,

I broke out.
