Created by one Developer, known as DBK Games. Spacebourne is a quaint space faring game filled with RPG elements, customizable ships and factions at war. Discover uncharted systems as you traverse though the vast game world in search of a cure for your own survival. At least that's what the brochure said.

The game has its quirks, along with nostalgia graphics, but I was soon engulfed into the world of Spacebourne. Taking to the stars ready for action, and in need of the cure. I set out on my journey in this new world, a world filled with death and despair. Once a great commander who lead earth to several key victories, I was now alone struggling to survive.

Flashback

It was 2029 a normal day in July when an alien object hit the skies, and first contact began. Confusion ensured as the motionless object hovered in the sky. The Newly formed World Air Defense Platform soon chose a Representative known as “The Commander”.

The following year a new epidemic of Alien origins, known as “H4–4” would spread with high fatalities. As the world struggled with the deadly illness, the intruders took first strike.

Heavy Causalities amassed until the leadership of “the Commander” turned the tide with their brilliant strategy’s. The Commanders Leadership lead to the destruction of over 20 alien ships in the span of 3 years.

Earths population however suffered enormous losses with only about 1 quarter of earths population surviving. Worse still was the news that the commander themselves had become sick with the illness. A last ditch effort to save humanity, the World Air Defense Platform decided to cryogenically freeze the commander until a cure could be discovered.

It wasn’t long before I needed a new ship so I started earning credits by taking on bounties, mining asteroids, and even betting on races.

After countless bounties I managed to scrap together enough to buy me a new Ship, the Necro, a ship weak in defensives but with huge attacking capabilities. A perfect ship for a fast and loose dog fighter like myself who enjoys chasing down my newest bounty or engaging in a faction battle. It always gets my blood pumping.

Spacebourne offers a few factions to join, aside from being a pirate. The Arbuq a nearly Human Race, the Duons a humanoid robot race, and the Xziax a reptilian like alien race. Along with joining a faction there’s also creating your own or hitting the galaxy one deep which is what I chose to do.

I’ve always found for myself the need to go it alone, and build my own path.

My newly purchased ship I took on some bounties, chased down some distress calls, and for a relaxing evening found myself hitting the asteroid scene for some mining.

I still haven’t found the cure, but my source has a new lead for me to follow.
