Hi I’m Ben from Magic sourcing and I want to share with you the reason why I think LinkedIn platform is toxic for prospection that the reason I prefer to rely on search engine.

LinkedIn is not up to date.

Not everybody has a profile LinkedIn and even if they do it is probably not up to date. Even if you target companies which are more likely to invest energy in updating their LinkedIn page, you can be sure that they will update their own website before any other social platform.

LinkedIn does not want you to prospect on his platform.

LinkedIn is fighting as the hard as possible to make there users and companies informations very private and only available to closely connected users. You can use the Sales Navigator but even the most expensive plan allow only up to 30 messages a month, which is a very small amount of messages for a company actively prospecting.

LinkedIn has no competitors.

Yes you can have a look to this Quora thread, for example, the answers are rather relevant. This is a very bad situation for companies avid to develop by using this platform. As LinkedIn is the only kids on the block it can change rules at any time without being afraid of losing his position.

That’s why I prefer to rely on search engine and built Magic Sourcing which helps me a lot to find new leads to contact.
