This is the first time I have picked up a book by Araminta Hall. To be honest, I was not clued in about this author or her previous works. So, I started reading this book with a fresh mind. The blurb was quite impressive to start with and so was the one line reviews, which is printed prominently on the front and back cover of most of the books published today!

I will keep this review short because there’s nothing much to talk about this book apart from it’s yo-yo style of narrative which keeps moving from 3 key characters which is Cole, Lennie B and Mel.

The story starts off with a bang, with the male protagonist giving his version of the various events in his life. The narrative style is certainly unique but the book fails to hold the attention of the reader once the author brings forth the female voice(s). From a suspense thriller, it moves or rather falls flat as a ‘preachy’ book about women being treated unfairly in this ‘male’ dominated world!

I certainly didn't ‘devour’ this book as one ardent fan of this author has put it! To sum it up…..It doesn't matter if you are a die-hard fan of this author or not - according to me, this is certainly not ONE OF THE GOOD BOOKS you would want to curl up with!
