What if a medium story becomes a novel ???
Isn’t it interesting?, it will be useful for everyone who wants to know the plot and enjoy reading, so here I’m gonna tell a novel as a short story, okay what’s the title? it’s a famous crime thriller and it’s, “The Silent Patient”
Okay let’s start the story …
It’s “ The silent patient” not by Alex Michaelides but by Reshma 😀
“ It’s an emergency, I heard a gunshot from the neighbourhood”, an anxious neighbour calls the police, When the police entered the house, they saw two dead bodies, one Gabriel Berenson and the other one is Alicia Berenson, they both were a couple, Alicia shot her husband and killed herself,but fortunately, Alicia was alive.
she was in hospital, surrounded by several police officers, they asked her about her husband’s murder, but she didn’t say anything, just kept silent
So the investigators transferred her to a psychiatric ward, and even there, she didn’t speak up, she remained silent. All days went by, Alicia was not interested in speaking up
But all of a sudden, a new psychiatrist named Theo Faber showed interest in treating her, he came and started his sessions but it was of no use, she didn’t open up, so he asked the doctor who was treating her to reduce the dose of her medicines, so it will be useful for him to know her.
Theo Faber starts investigating Alicia Berenson’s case when he becomes her psychotherapist at The Grove, a secure forensic facility. He delves into Alicia’s past, visits her former home, and interviews people connected to her. As Theo explores her artwork and journals, he uncovers layers of mystery and begins to question the events leading to Alicia’s silence. The narrative unfolds as Theo seeks to understand Alicia’s motivations and the circumstances surrounding the murder of her husband, Gabriel Berenson.
While investigating, he got Alicia’s journal, he even visited Alicia’s gallery as she is an artist, and all her paintings resonated with her life, right from her husband’s death, her family and also her suicide, when he investigated the neighbour about Alicia, she said, that Alicia saw a strange person on regular basis and the neighbour women asked her to tell this to her husband and she said that she doesn’t know whether she told him or not, then the story turned to that strange person, who is he?, what’s the connection between him, Alicia and her husband’s murder??
Theo left for the hospital at that time he saw Alicia in serious condition due to overdosage, he said that the doctor who treated her, overdosed him and when he returned home, there was a knock on his door!!
It was the police, they arrested him on the charge of overdosing Alicia and threatening to kill her husband
The real truth is, that Theo’s wife had an affair with Alicia’s husband, so he tried to break their marriage by threatening Alicia to kill him, and then she killed her husband and the strange person Alicia saw was Theo.
He overdosed her, and Alicia went into a coma, this was brought to light by her journal, where everything was written
And hence the case of the silent person came to an end!!!
