We are really heading towards a better future with so much innovation in all the segments of Computer Science and with a perfect collaboration between Software and Hardware.

One of the fields in Computer Science that’s becoming an integral part of be it in Autonomous Cars or Augmented Reality or Robotics is Computer Vision.

I always had the interest to learn about Computer Vision and I feel now is the right time to do it. There are abundant resources to learn it and with continuous innovation it’s getting hard to not get obsessed about it.

If you need some motivation to get started with Computer Vision, feel free to have a look at some of the videos listed below.

Fei-Fei Li ( Associate Professor, Stanford University )

David J Fleet ( Professor, University of Toronto )

Nikhil Naik ( Ph.D. at MIT Media Labs )

David Moloney ( Chief Technology Officer, Movidius )

If you like to get started with Computer Vision you can either start with Udacity’s Introduction to Computer Vision or Stanford’s Convolutional Neural Networks for Visual Recognition.

Don’t get too intimidated by the vast topics that Computer Vision covers. It’s always time consuming initially to understand the basics and after that you get the hang of it.

There are also plenty of research papers that gives in depth knowledge of various topics in Computer Vision.

Finally, I would like you to watch the below video after you have gained some understanding of Computer Vision.

Andrej Karpathy ( Research scientist, OpenAI )

Thanks for reading and feel free to correct me in case I have made any mistake! 🙂
