I have setup my farm ‘MAHUA FARMS’ to those of us who would like to have a break in nature.

Our ideal guests are nature lovers, bird-watchers and simply people who are looking for a ‘time-out’ from the stress of everyday life. Add to the list those who treasure and appreciate the understated luxury of a quiet, peaceful place. With our own four acres of chemical-free surroundings, greenery and quiet, Mahua is an absolute pleasure for the senses.

Accommodation and tariffs.

We have two rooms available for stay. The West Bedroom and the South Bedroom.

‘The West Bedroom’ has 3 bunk beds and a convertible double bed. This room can accommodate 8 people. (Recommended maximum — 9 adults.)

Bear in mind that 3 of these beds need to be climbed on to by a ladder. In case of senior citizen groups or individuals facing physical challenges booking, please keep limitations in mind to avoid inconvenience.

The West bedroom has an attached bathroom.

Rs.8000/-for the full room. ( Extra person: Rs 750/ -).

‘The South Bedroom’.

4 beds -Ideal for a family of four. (Recommended maximum- 5 adults.)

One bunk bed and one single bed. The single bed can be extended to a double bed. The closest bathroom to this bedroom is right outside its entrance.

Rs 5000 for the full room. (Extra person: Rs 750/ -).

Please bear in mind that in case the full room is not booked, you may have the pleasure of sharing the room with any other guest/s.

[Ideally, these rooms on the ground floor will be excellent for groups varying in size from 4–18.]

If you have a larger group, please call us. We may be able to work out a solution.

Bookings.

Please specify exact date and time and number of persons for best response.

Photo identification of the group leader and the members are required for administrative purposes.

Payment: Full payment to be made in advance.

Fresh bed sheets, blankets and bath towels will be provided at the beginning of your stay. If required, mats and extra mattresses can be arranged at the nominal rates.

We encourage you to use the same towel through your stay.

Checking in and out

Check in at 12 noon.

Check out at 10 a.m.

If we do not have new guests arriving on the same day, we are happy to offer you a later check out. Please contact for any special requirements.

Half day charges applicable for check out after 11 a.m. and before 4 p.m. Full day charges applicable for check out after 4 p.m.

Cancellation.

50% Cancellation charges on the tariff will be levied.

Food

The kitchen is large and open to the living room.

To prevent disturbance to other people in the premises, the kitchen shall function between 6 am and 10 pm.

A medium sized refrigerator is provided to store perishables.

Following (a to c )are Complimentary —

a) Tea, coffee, sugar and milk are stored for guest’s in-house use.

b) Mineral water.

c) Basic Indian masala’s like turmeric, red chilli powder, jeera, dhania, mustard seeds, garam masala, salt, pepper and RISO brand cooking oil (rice bran oil).

Cooking gas, vessels, utensils, crockery and cutlery are available for your use at the farm.

You may cook your own food. Non-vegetarian food is permitted.

If you choose not to cook your major meals, the facility of local families who are willing to offer home-cooked food is available. Enjoy the local flavours. This will be fresh and straight from their kitchens.

Delivery of your meal at the farm is possible with almost all caterers. Please be considerate and give them enough time / notice approximately 3 hours to serve you seamlessly.(It will be prudent to specify the food, the delivery time and remind them about 15 minutes before the agreed time regarding your order for seamless service.)

You will settle your food bills with the caterer directly and immediately.

Please exercise caution when using the kitchen and other facilities.

TIP: If you do intend to cook, though we provide the basic masalas, may we urge you to bring your own ‘special masalas’, as you will not have to run around for special items you may need. Suggest you pack your special ‘masala-dabba’ along with the other provisions you will bring when you leave your home.

(Psst. Bring a few friends who are willing and love to cook. Help them with the cooking and other kitchen duties. See how wonderful working together feels.)

A brick barbeque is provided for use by the guests.

You may inform your need for charcoal / kerosene in advance. It can be bought and stored.

You are again advised to exercise sufficient care while using any of the facilities at the farm.
