Dos and Don’ts
Mahua is not only a retreat from the city, but also a break from the pollution, chaos and stress. It’s meant for those who love tranquility. If you’re looking for a noisy party spot, we’ll be reluctant to host you.
When you plan a trip to Mahua, you agree to treat the house, its belongings and staff with courtesy and care, and follow the minimal rules set.
Location limitations
Our goal to make the Mahua farm and the house sustainable for people and nature to coexist, require constant efforts of varied scales. While we provide the solitude that only a house located in a green, quiet place, even a little away from a village can provide, it is important for us that our guests respect the environment without any disturbance for the creatures that live on the land.
Music.
With due consideration for the need for peace and quiet, loud music is not permitted in the premises .
Pets
No pets are allowed.
Plastic and waste
Plastics ruin the cleanliness, beauty and natural fertility of the land, whether in a city or outside of it.
Don’t allow plastic packets or wrappers to ruin your clean environment and peaceful holiday by being an eyesore. Bins are provided for disposal of waste.
Ensure that you separate dry waste from wet. Please keep glass and plastic bottles separately.
At the end of your stay, if you can, please take the plastic waste for disposal back to the city.However, the caretaker will dispose of them properly if you choose to leave it behind.
Alcohol, smoking, drugs.
Built by people who believe in living clean, Mahua and its premises is not designed to support smoking or illegal drugs.
Alcohol
Responsible behaviour is expected regarding alcohol consumption.
Smoking
We don’t have ashtrays in or outside the home.
In case you do want to smoke, please step out of the house into the premises to do so, and even then be very mindful to not litter the place with cigarette butts. The extinguished butts can be disposed off along with your dry and plastic waste.
Drugs
Presence or use of illegal drugs will not be tolerated in the premises. Any guest found using drugs will be asked to leave immediately and will be reported. In this case, tariff paid will not be returned.
