As March 17th approaches, bars and restaurants know they should prep as consumers get ready to celebrate with seas of green, pints of beer, and a pinch of luck. Even though the tradition was born in Ireland, over 127 million Americans raise their glasses to Saint Patrick every year.

In fact, Americans are expected to spend around $40 per person this year for the occasion, and about 30 percent of those consumers will be spending that money at a bar or restaurant. With the right social media strategy, your business has the opportunity to direct their sights straight to your door. Follow these three tips, and your business will be the gold at the end of the rainbow:

1. Let your followers know you have something planned

Whether you’ll be flaunting green from floor to ceiling, perfecting your Guinness pours, or offering some traditional Irish dishes, let your followers know!

Fifty-eight percent of Instagram users claim to follow businesses so they can stay informed on specials and promotions. You can post about what you’ll be offering in house ahead of the holiday:

And creating a graphic or writing an informative caption is a great way to let them know your exciting plans and put you on their radar for the 17th.

Your specials will stand out even more if you put them on a themed graphic like this:

2. Show off your team

Part of the reason your biggest fans love coming to your bar or restaurant is because of your staff members that they’ve come to know, so in the days leading up to St. Patrick’s Day, take the time to shout them out in a post!

Seeing familiar faces at your business will encourage your Instagram audience to imagine themselves there, too. Plus, you can let your customers know in the caption that your team is ready to see them on the holiday — and even sneak in your hours and specials as well.

This restaurant did a great job of letting their customers know that they’re prepping for some St. Patrick’s Day fun with their customers.

3. Share your product with the world

Sixty percent of consumers follow businesses on Instagram to learn more about their products and services, and 75 percent of those users take action after being inspired by a post. By sharing photos of your menu items or beer selection, especially those related to St. Paddy’s Day, you’re giving your consumers a preview of what they can enjoy at your place.

Below, you can see how a local pub gives followers a taste of their menu:

With these four-leaf clovers in hand, you won’t need luck to bring in new customers to your bar or restaurant this St. Patrick’s Day!
