This is the second video in our Freedom Stories series.

Winston Churchill wasn’t a perfect man. But to stand up to the man widely viewed as one of the most vile human beings of the 20th century is no small task. And for that, he was the right man for the job.

It was sobering on our recent European tour to visit historic sites where generations past fought for their freedom. It’s a funny word, freedom. Personally, I’ve lived a fairly comfortable and peaceful life in a prosperous country. I can’t imagine what it would be like to face annihilation, either for myself or the land I call home and love. But I hope that inexperience won’t ever lull me into a false sense of security.
