Eagles: Playoffs Over Already?

Carson Wentz has torn his ACL. He was the shining light in Philadelphia as he lead the Eagles to a 11–2 record before suffering his season ending injury. Now the big question for the Eagles: What now?

The Eagles have a pretty easy three game stretch coming up, playing the Giants, then the Raiders, and finally the Cowboys. However, not sure how easy these games will be without their MVP candidate QB.

Wentz threw for 3,296 yards and 33 touchdowns this season. He had a mere 7 interceptions which is a huge turn around from his rookie season where he had 14 on the season. Wentz clearly developed in the off season, but now the Eagles must find another QB to help lead them. Not only through this easy stretch of games, but also the playoffs.

The Eagles roster is rather impressive, but without Wentz there wasn’t much going on. Before he got into his grove, the Eagles were absolutely awful. They finished 7–9 last season during Wentz’s rookie season. They were at the bottom of their division and had no shot at the playoffs. Now, with this amazing start, what will happen to this Cinderella story of a team? Either Wentz was the trigger to this amazing run, or something else is the Eagle’s secret weapon. They better figure it out fast or they can kiss their long playoff run goodbye. The last thing they want is a repeat of the Raider’s last season.

Last season, the Raiders played the Colts to finish off their season before their playoff run. They were expected to make the Super Bowl, until the Colts game where Derek Carr was left in the whole game, for some dumb reason, and he snapped his leg. He was carted off the field and the Raiders went on to be man-handled in the playoffs.

Now obviously this could be a different scenario for the Eagles, but Philadelphia fans better pray they find an answer soon or their playoff run could be cut short.
