I’m baaaaack… Let’s Ride

“Football is back”

The three greatest words ever spoken is succession in the English language. I couldn’t be more excited for this college football season and I can’t wait to help you guys win more money. In the last two seasons I have gone 68% and 61%.

This year I personally guarantee at least 65%. That is my promise to you. It’s simple really; just put money on the games I give you and you’re going to make some money. Nothing in life is ever a sure thing, but I think I know the closest thing to it. So let’s have some fun and make some MONEY!

Without further ado, here are the first batch of picks for 2018. There are 15 games on the docket:

Colorado at Colorado State over 65 Friday 9:30 ET CBSSN

A week ago Colorado State scored 34 points, but they gave up 43. What’s that tell you, they don’t play much defense. Colorado wasn’t exactly a defensive juggernaut last year either. Both teams are going to score a lot of points in this one. Plus those Friday games are always a little funky. Bet the over and win some extra money to throw down Saturday.

Maryland +13.5 vs. Texas Noon FS1

Does everyone remember when Maryland beat Texas by double digits opening week just last year? Well now Maryland has their quarterback healthy again and they get Texas at home. 13.5 is just way too many points for Texas to cover. Always take a double digit home underdog. In fact, if you’re feeling confident, bet the moneyline, because I think Maryland wins outright. At least there are some good strip clubs in College Park for Tom Herman hit up after the game.

Ole Miss +2.5 vs. Texas Tech and the over 67 Noon ESPN

Nothing like a good ole fashion shoot out to start off your Saturday. Ole Miss has the worst defense in the SEC and Texas Tech is in the BIG 12, so they don’t actually know what defense is. The Rebels are gonna win this one by at least a touchdown. Ka’amu is one of the most underrated players in the country. It’s a good thing that Shea Patterson transferred because he wasn’t even the best quarterback on the roster. Ole Miss wins something like 52–45 and we easily cash the over and the points on the spread.

Oregon State +38.5 at Ohio State Noon ABC

Oregon State is hot garbage but 38.5 points is just an insane line for two power 5 teams in week one not including Alabama. With all the drama that’s surrounded Ohio State, they’re either going to come out on fire or flat. I’m gonna bank on flat. With a new QB and inexperienced head coach I don’t see them winning by more than 35.

Houston -26 at Rice Noon CBSSN

Last week Rice needed a last second field goal to avoid getting upset by Prairie View A&M. This week they might need a last second field goal to avoid getting 50-pieced. Rice is such a bad team, like indescribably bad. Houston covers by halftime and Ed Oliver stats his heisman campaign with a 4 sack game.

Boston College -18 vs UMASS 1:00 ACCNE

I’m a big believer in this Boston College team. I really like what they accomplished last year and they are set for more improvements this season. UMASS isn’t terrible, but they aren’t good either. Yes they won by a lot last weekend, but they didn’t look very sharp doing it. Boston College is much better than Duquesne and they should win this one by 21, getting the cover.

Auburn -2 vs Washington 3:30 ABC

LOCK IT IN!! This is the lock of the week. Auburn is going to win this one and its really not even going to be that close. The Tigers are going to embarrass the Huskie o line and end up on top of Browning all day long. I think they could honestly end up with negative rushing yards. Furthermore, Browning threw way too many interceptions last year and now the most inexperienced unit on their team is the wide receivers. This won’t end well.

Appalachian State at Penn State over 54.5 3:30 BTN

Penn State has a pretty mediocre defense this year, but they have an electric offense. What does that mean? POINTS. Trace McSorley is my pick to win the Heisman this year. Penn State will get close to the over by themselves. This will end something like 49–17 and we coast to the over.

Marshall -2 at Miami (OH) 3:30 ESPN+

Last year we bet this same matchup week one as a pick em, and we won easily. I think we will win this one easily too. Miami is going to sneak up on some teams this year, and could compete for a division title, but Marshall is too good. Thundering Herd win by double digits and we cover easily.

California -7 vs UNC 4:00 FOX

This game would probably go the other way if Larry Fedora worried more about his team selling shoes and less about CTE not being real. UNC won’t have their starting quarterback Chazz Surratt. Furthermore, I expect Ross Bowers to make a huge jump this year under center. Bears cover.

Alabama -24.5 vs Louisville 8:00 ABC

WAIT, WHAT’S THIS? THAT’S RIGHT, ANOTHER LOCK. In week one we have a rare, two lock-of-the-weeks. Alabama is going to blow out Louisville in this one, no matter how much false confidence Petrino wants to inject into his team. This year’s Alabama offense has a chance to be explosive with Tua. They’ll be up by 21 at half.

Hawaii + 10.5 vs Navy 11:00 CBSSN

I don’t want to let one week influence me too much but damn Hawaii was impressive last week. Furthermore, traveling to Hawaii from Maryland is no easy task. Navy probably wins this one but Hawaii will give them everything they can handle. There is a lot of excitement around this program again. Gotta love the double digit home dawg.

LSU +3.5 vs Miami Sunday 7:30 ABC

I really like Joe Burrow, and I think he can do a great job as LSU’s starting quarterback this year. He is never going to blow you away with his arm or ever have exceptional stats. What he can do is give this offense what they need and take care of the ball. He is a smart guy that can operate the offense well. LSU is going to come into this what is practically a home game in Texas and they’re going to beat Miami straight up.

Virginia Tech +7 at Florida State Monday 8:00 ESPN

The great thing about the opening week is all these extra days we have to gamble on college football. Willie Taggart’s Florida State debut is going to be a loss. Fuente is one of the best young coaches in football and he has a great young QB in Josh Jackson. Florida State still has a terrible offensive line and they’re going to get manhandled. Tech has the better coach and better QB. I’m on them all day. I am betting the moneyline on this one but you can feel very good about them getting 7 points.

Well that’s all the picks for the week. Here’s to 4 glorious days of football and to going 15–0 to start 2018. GET RICH!
