Week 12 Gambling Picks
Back and better than ever.
It may not be a great week for football watching, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be a great week for gambling. After a week off last week, we’re back and better than ever. We’ve got 14 games on the docket this weekend, which means we have 14 wins this weekend.
Without further ado, here are the picks:
The Citadel +52 at Alabama Noon SECN
This is going to be a slow paced game. The Citadel loves to run the ball and Alabama is probably going to run the ball a lot too. Tua might not even play on Saturday and Hurts might not either. I’m not sure Alabama even scores 52 in this game, and I don’t think they care all that much either.
MTSU +16.5 at Kentucky Noon SECN
Kentucky is in free fall right now and they don’t have a good enough coach to pull them out of it. MTSU is a very good football team and they are going to give the Wildcats a run for their money. It’s a chilly noon game and Kentucky is going to be half asleep. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if MTSU wins outright. They won’t be scared, they’ve already played two SEC schools this year.
Northwestern +2 at Minnesota Noon BTN
The better team is the underdog here, so we’re gonna bet it. Minnesota has been so inconsistent this year, and the Wildcats are coming off a nice win over Iowa and should win this one today. When the better team gets points, take it, it’s that simple.
Michigan State pick em at Nebraska Noon Fox
Michigan State is a much better team so it blows me away that this is a pick em. The Spartans are just so much better at the line of scrimmage. They are going to physically dominate the Huskers and win by around 10 points. Easy Money.
Baylor +1 vs TCU Noon FS1
Hey, wanna hear a secret? TCU sucks… a lot. The only thing they had going for them was Kavontae Turpin, but he decided that he wanted to beat women so now that scumbag doesn’t play football anymore. Anyway, the Bears are going to roll in this one.
NC State -16 at Louisville 12:25 ACCN
Louisville could play any team in the FCS top 25 and I would take the FCS team. The fact that an FBS team with a winning record isn’t favored by at least 30 is shocking to me. I know they fired Petrino, but that doesn’t mean they don’t suck. Give me the Wolfpack all day.
Syracuse + 10.5 vs Notre Dame 2:30 ESPN
Notre Dame loves to choke in November, and we’re running out of time. Chaos is bound to happen in college football eventually, so we might as well start now. Syracuse is a very good football team, and are going give Notre Dame everything they have. Plus, it is at Yankee Stadium so that’ll throw everything off and make it closer. This game will be decided by a field goal.
Boston College -1.5 at Florida State 3:30 ESPN2
This is all me banking on Anthony Brown being able to play, but if they can, I expect them to bowl over Florida State. The real reason I feel so comfortable with this game though is the Boston College defense. Florida State’s offensive line doesn’t exist, and the Boston College front seven is going to impose their will. Boston College will probably score at least 21, and I’m honestly not sure the Seminoles can even score a touchdown here. Boston College, book it.
Louisiana Tech pick em at Southern Miss 3:30 ESPN+
One team is 5–1 in conference and has played two SEC schools, the other is a .500 Conference USA team. Southern Miss just isn’t as good as Louisiana Tech. Yes they play at home, but I just don’t see them winning this one outright. Give me the Bulldogs in a close one.
Texas Tech -6.5 at Kansas State 3:30 ESPNU
Texas Tech is at least 10 points better than Kansas State. In fact, I see the Red Raiders coming into Manhattan and winning this one 52–14. This is going to be an exclamation mark on Bill Snyder’s fading career, and the one fans will point to when they beg for his resignation. Kansas State is going to get embarrassed.
Duke +28 at Clemson 7:00 ESPN
Clemson always loses one they shouldn’t and this year it is going to be Duke. Duke is a good football team, and has been all year. Daniel Jones could be the first quarterback taken in the NFL draft this year. Cutcliff is a great coach, and he is going to have his team cool, calm and collected for a night game in Death Valley. They may not pull off the upset, but even if they don’t, they’ll give them a good scare.
UAB +17 at Texas A&M 7:00 ESPN2
What UAB has been able to do this year is nothing short of remarkable. They are going to have no fear in this game, as they have absolutely nothing to lose. Texas A&M, on the other hand, is going to be playing with some clenched butt cheeks. They have been fading in the second half of the season, and now all week, they’ve been hearing about a sneaky competitive UAB team. I think the Blazers are going to win this game, so I will gladly take 17 points. If you’re feeling ballsy, take the moneyline.
Kansas +34.5 at Oklahoma 7:30 FOX
This is just a lot of points for a conference game. Kansas has still been bad this year, but they haven’t been as bad as they typically are. They’ve played a lot of close-ish BIG 12 games, and even beat TCU. Oklahoma doesn’t have a defense to speak of, and Kansas can actually score some points. Oklahoma wins this one 63–35 and we win too.
Ole Miss +3 at Vandy 7:30 SECN
I like Ole Miss outright here. Vandy doesn’t have a good defense at all, and Ole Miss can score points with the best of them. Ole Miss is going to hang 50 on Vandy and there is just no way the Commodores can keep up. This will be the nail in the coffin for Derrick Mason.
Well, that’s all we got for this week. I am really excited about what we have going on this weekend. As always, share this with your friends and family.
Happy Gambling!
