Consciousness and its objects

We all know that things we see aren’t the things as they are! Our consciousness freely chooses to include or exclude elements depending upon our emotions. When we are happy, sitting next to a beach: sun, ocean, birds and blue sky colour our view. But when storms hit our mind, our issue or the problem entirely occupies our consciousness and suddenly we no longer have sun, moon, stars, wisdom of teachers, our ancestors in our consciousness.

A good meditator always retains the sun, the moon, mother earth, ancestors, stars and all other wonders in their purview. They know that even as storms hit them, these magical elements don’t vanish but are very much there awaiting to be welcomed. With the presence of nature, wisdom of teachers, truth seekers and helpers of humanity in their consciousness, they never feel lost. They never feel alone.

Storms may hit them but they’ll quickly see a way out. Nothing can dampen their hope and will to help others. This is the secret behind the freedom experienced by Buddhas, meditators and seekers: to be one with the mystical unity of cosmos~
