Corporate workshops, parents and teachers often train us on leaving a good impression on others when we meet them for the first time. How to dress, how to shake hands, how to speak and so on. But there is a huge difference between leaving a good impression and leaving an honest, sincere impression.

To leave a good impression, we often portray things that we aren’t and suffer very much later on in balancing our two faces. To leave a sincere impression is to show others who we are, what our motives are and that we are trying to improve. We can’t show this on a certificate or through our clothes. Only by embodying it deep in our hearts can our sincerity be communicated to others.

If we walk into any bookstore, we see bestsellers with titles such as “How to win friendships, How to grab opportunities etc.,” The words “Win” and “Grab” are war terminologies if we think deeply. We shouldn’t win over others or grab jobs or opportunities. Rather, with sincerity, we must turn everything into a spiritual encounter. We mayn’t quickly rise up the ladder or gain a lot of opportunities by being sincere, but we sustain deep relationships, and our heart is always at peace.

A thunder may quickly shake up the entire sky but is lost very soon. Only the full moon rests calmly in a million dew drops~
