Speaking about suffering maybe helpful but if our prose and poetry, movies and conversations are filled with unskilful speech about suffering, we may end up watering and strengthening the seed of suffering in us and others. We can rather speak about wondrous things that flood our existence: Sunshine, blue sky, rain and flowers.

How can we speak about blue sky when bombs are dropping? Against the backdrop of afflictions, blue sky becomes something even more precious. Flowers shine like gems. We need to use our suffering as a manure to grow the trees of happiness and peace within us. We all have enough suffering and we don’t need to consume more suffering in order to alleviate it. What we need is happiness and peace. Joy and hope. How can we help the world and inspire the change when we aren’t stable?

We need a new wave of poets who will write poems about moonlight. About blue sky. About the songs of a sparrow that inspired a million flowers to bloom~
