Maitri for all

On stirring

and stirring,

the leaves spiral

and the tea — unsettled

not stirring and not moving,

leaving it to rest:

the leaves settle —

kissing the tea-bed

leaving the clear tea

on the top

no thoughts,

no dwelling,

no analysis,

no inspection,

no attachment,

no renunciation

rest, and rest alone,

my dear —

let it settle itself.
