In November 2019, I published a double couplet on my Facebook page.

It was an immediate hit with my followers and helped me grow my social media following to over 500,000 strong.

At times, the poetic piece—what my fans thought was a complete poem—took on a life of its own.

Many of my fans wanted to read a novel about the two main characters, Night and Luna. Some even expressed wanting to see their love story in theaters on the silver screen.

The original piece—in 4 short lines—inspired millions of people worldwide. In countries like the Philippines, Nepal, Nigeria and the United States. Just to name a few.

I know this from reading their comments, seeing their post shares and receiving direct messages with their praise.

And by also checking my page insights, where the double couplet garnered nearly 20 million views to date. In 2020—it very well may have been the most read poem on the Internet.

And even with the early success of the double couplet, I was not satisfied. There had to be more to the poem.

So in secret, I wrote the rest of the poem. A sonnet, if you will.
