Turku-based Rockodile Games was the first Finnish games studio to join remote control this summer. In this short interview, CEO and co-founder Joni Kuusisto (pictured in the middle) talks about working with rcp and how the studio came together.

Could you quickly introduce your company, please?
We are Rockodile, a team of five like-minded developers out to make their mark in the game industry.

How did you guys meet?
We met through Turku University while studying game development. Most of us had prior experience in our fields and we quickly realized that this could brew something good.

What made you launch a company?
We had the chance to start building a reputation and make contacts during our first years in university and we applied for an accelerator program for our second summer. We got in and while there we founded our company to turn our hobby into a job.

Why did you decide to join rcp?
We were introduced to rcp by Jyri Partanen and right away realized that this would be exactly what our company needed. We struggled in the past in some areas and we found that rcp would be a perfect fit to overcome these issues and enable us to grow faster as a company.

What does your work with rcp look like?
We get a lot of valuable feedback and support for the company’s own projects and the large pool of contacts that rcp has is a major asset for us.

What are you working on right now?
Our current project is a top-down shooter but that is all we can say at the moment!

Is there anything else you’d like to say?
The gaming industry is as strong as ever and we are glad to grow with it. And of course holiday sales are starting, so make sure to play something new during your vacation time!
