Another year and another fantastic set of nonprofits selected in Chattanooga and across Tennessee. We’re excited to be creating printed materials, websites, brands and strategies for those that are serving our community in the most powerful and significant ways.

Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer

The Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer was formed by Jim and Amy Jo Osborn after losing their two month old son. The mission of the Austin Hatcher Foundation is to erase the effects of pediatric cancer and optimize each child’s quality of life. They provide programming and activities to bring light and joy to the children suffering and their families. Learn more.

The Center for Mindful Living works to empower people to decrease their stress and increase their mental health and well-being. They are launching a
new pilot program in three elementary schools this year called PAUSE — Practices in Awareness and Understanding for Sustaining Teachers to help support one of the most stressful professionals in our country, teachers. Learn more.

ChattaNeuter

ChattaNeuter provides professional, subsidized spay/neuter services to eliminate the unnecessary euthanasia of cats and dogs due to overpopulation and lack of resources, while empowering communities to care responsibly for their pets. The organization is helping residents in our community who are underserved by helping them care for their pets. Learn more.

Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy + Chattanooga Preparatory School provide rigorous single-gender education to students from traditionally underserved areas in Chattanooga. These schools work diligently to create environments for quality education in the city while sharing staff and resources. The Children’s Advocacy Center of Hamilton County provides a coordinated and comprehensive response to child sexual and severe physical abuse with a trauma-informed approach for more than 600 children each year. Their staff acts as a continual support system and a stable sounding board for victims and their families. Learn more.

Downside Up

Downside Up was formed by Theresa Nix when her son was diagnosed with Down Syndrome, but she was unable to find the resources, network and support that she was searching for as a parent. Downside Up is a family for families of children with Down Syndrome. Together they find joy in the happiest and hardest moments — because when life is turned upside down, they choose to live downside up. Learn more.

The Epilepsy Foundation of Southeast Tennessee works to ensure that people with seizure disorders are able to participate in life experiences and overcome the challenges created by life with epilepsy. The mission of H*Art Gallery is to create hope and opportunity through art. H*Art began as outreach to the homeless population, but after realizing that there are numerous communities in need of creative expression, their programs grew to include low-income seniors, those with physical or mental challenges, refugees, and inner-city and at-risk youth. Prevent Child Abuse Tennessee

Prevent Child Abuse Tennessee works to prevent the abuse and neglect of children in Tennessee. No matter where parents are on their journey through parenthood, PCAT is there to support them. Their Parent Helpline is a 24/7 toll free helpline that is available to parents in times of stress and uncertainty. Learn more.

The mission of Second Life Tennessee is to end human trafficking through prevention, policy and survivor services. The organization exists to see the formerly-enslaved live free, full lives. They assist in finding safe places for survivors, as well as partnering with agencies that want to offer their services. Learn more.
