We have released a ton of new product features for the new year. Several of the new features were proposed by our users — we appreciate your feedback. Enjoy the new features!

New Video Sources

You can now summarize videos from the following sources in addition to YouTube, just copy paste the video URLs into the App to summarize.:

  1. Vimeo — ensure video is not password protected
  2. Instagram — videos in both Posts and IGTV sections are supported
  3. Facebook — only publicly shared videos are supported

Wistia and other sources are coming soon

New Podcast Sources

You can now summarize podcast episodes from the following podcasts platforms:

  1. Google Podcast
  2. Apple Podcast
  3. SoundCloud
  4. Stitcher App

Just copy paste the podcast URLs into the App to summarize.

TuneIn, iHeartRadio are coming soon

PDF File Summary

You can now summarize PDF files. Just upload the file into the app and then summarize it in one of two ways:

  1. Entire file summary — summarize file as the whole
  2. Page-to-Page/Chapter summary — indicate the start and end page numbers and summarize just that portion. There can be multiple such chapters for a file.

A ton of thanks to the various students among our App users who suggested and asked for this feature! Summarize book, book chapters, research papers, class notes, lecture handouts, course materials etc.

Ensure the PDF file is not password locked.

MS Word and other file formats are coming soon! If you need to summarize an MS Word document at this time, consider saving it as a PDF file and then uploading it to the App.

Audio/Video File Summary

You can now summarize Audio/Video files of recorded meetings like Zoom. Just upload them to one of the following and share the URL and paste it into our App.

Dropbox

  1. After uploading the file, click Share > Copy Link > Paste the link into the App.
  2. Ensure Disable Download is off on the Settings.

Google Drive

  1. After uploading the file ensure Google Drive has processed the file. When the processing is done you can see the preview icon or image on the file.
    Right Click on the file then Share > Copy Link > Paste the link into the App.
  2. Ensure that ‘Anyone on the internet with this link can view’.

MS One Drive, Box and other storage locations are coming soon!

Medium Blog Integration

You can now automatically summarize new posts in a Medium Publication or by posted by a Medium Author. Paste the URL of the Medium Publication or Author into our Medium Integration.

YouTube Channel Integration

You can now automatically summarize new videos posted on a YouTube channel. Paste the URL of the YouTube channel into our Integration. There is no limit on the number of channels you can follow and summarize.

Twitter Hashtag Integration

You can now summarize Tweets tagged with a hashtag in addition to the handles. Just add the #hashtag into our Twitter Integration we will check for the latest tweets tagged with the hashtag and summarize them.

Webhook Integration

If you want us to deliver the summary results to a particular destination, you can use our Webhook Integration. Just add an HTTPS endpoint into the Integration and follow the instructions. This will require some coding to get it working on your end.

If you are of the #NoCode persuasion! :), then you can use the Zapier Integration as well.

Additional Summary Sizes

In addition to the five-line summary, you can now summarize content in one of the following sizes too:

  1. 5 Line Summary
  2. 5% Summary
  3. 10% Summary
  4. 25% Summary
  5. 1 Page Summary
  6. 2 Page Summary
  7. 5 Page Summary
