It’s hard to given up some of your priorities but it’s part of being not so cool, it makes you useful.
Some of us think that if you are a good person, then you should keep your character and not even for a second hang on one side of that tightrope, certainly ’cause that’s the hollywoodian way of thinking like “There is goodness and evilness, and not even for your life you can keep turning sides”. I’m afraid that you didn’t realize yet what is in check, and to get some, you must bend with the wind, otherwise you break.
I’ve heard these days that is clever to know that every little thing has two sides, and you must consider them, that’s the only way to be wiser. No matter where or when, there will be injustice, people trying to feel the sweet, yet rotten, taste of power, limited ones forcing you to humiliate yourself and it’s not right. Just to thinking about this situation I’m near to go out in streets looking for something to change that, and there’s none.
These people are smart enough to mine the ground around them, and that’s the point. Every little bomb isn’t just a weapon against who is trying to change it, it’s indeed a valuable way to cage those punk ass. The only way of knowing how strong is your enemy is pushing him/she against a wall, then you just have to defend yourself from the bites, and calculate where to punch, kick and shoot.
Pushing against the wall isn’t so simple. First you must be near from your target, analise the adversities in the ground, collect information, bargain to be trusted, make alliances, and at last you push. Of course the laws of science are universal so no matter what you do to act, will be a react and the dance begins.
The first visible move won’t be yours after the push, and that’s the point, at the first sight don’t, but the first effective move indeed. That’s why you bargained, you built a shield which will turn the game, so you are defending yourself from the bites. The next step is to memorize every angle of the bites ’cause will be patterns and is your job to find anti-patterns, this way you’re in charge again, your enemy’s allies (if they aren’t guilty or loyal) will be by your side then you’re stronger. At this time you already punched and kicked, but the pity shot wasn’t given.
So you do your last move, pick the justice look in the head and shoot. Show which side you are, the righter. And I must say to collect information and bargain will demand courage because that’s the grey area of the job. There will be people who will ask for not cool things, and good people you’ll must use as a step. In the end you’ll be torn, maybe by yourself but the worst part you did for the people/things which suffer was too loud to let you sleep.
