Last week it was revealed that Cloudflare had an issue that potentially leaked user information, and this problem affected a large number of Cloudflare customers. It is possible that passwords and other security tokens were leaked and ultimately cached by search engines such as Google or Bing. We here at Meetup — in efforts with our security, engineering, and legal teams — have determined that information from Meetup was neither leaked nor cached in any search engine. This was determined in part by the scope of the leak and in tandem with information that Cloudflare released in its own investigation. Meetup remains committed to protecting your data and values your security and safety as paramount.

However, we suggest changing your password — especially if you use the same password across multiple sites — as it is possible that your information from another site might have leaked and could be used. We recommend using a strong password and using a password manager if one is available to you, as this is part of keeping your information and passwords safe.
