A New Year
Exactly one year ago, I was a passionate young 21 year old with big dreams. About half a year ago, I dived head first into making one of my biggest dreams on my Bucket List a reality — starting my own business. Now, I am the Managing Director of a little but popular Milk & Cookie Bar in Auckland, New Zealand.
As much as I outwardly achieved in 2012, I feel like everything I had was taken from me. Every ounce of strength, every second of time, every relationship I valued & every dollar of my bank account was stripped from me as I poured everything I had into starting a business which I had no idea if it would succeed or fail.
So now, as I start my 2013, I aim to do one thing and one thing only.
To have balance.
To work hard to build up my new business whilst remembering who I am, to make time for the people important to me and to relish in the things that make me happy.
Follow me as I work towards:
a) Developing and building my new start-up business
b) Keeping fit by finally fulfilling a lifelong passion for dance — I aim to start going to dance classes so I can fulfill #11 of my Bucket List (Learn to dance & then perform on stage)
c) Saving towards going to America so I can cross off #5 (Eat a giant pretzel in New York), #7 & #8 (Watch Oklahoma City Thunder play & meet Kevin Durant/Jeremy Lin) off my Bucket List.
d) Write three times a week for accountability
e) Step out of my comfort zone and get out there, meet new people & learn from the world.
