The first round of the Tuenti Challenge 7 came to an end last Wednesday at 13:37. This year, 1490 people took part in the competition. A total of 592 participants solved at least one problem and 582 solved at least one problem correctly.

You can see the full final ranking of the first round here.

This year there were only fifteen problems instead of the usual 20, but that didn’t make the Tuenti Challenge any easier! In fact, no one could solve the final problem.

Also, there were a fair amount of wrong answers. Out of the 2264 final submissions, 213 were wrong, making the overall success rate 90.6%. Stay tuned for more stats about specific problems!

As usual, the language distribution didn’t change much. The most used languages were by far Python, C++ and Java.

The Tuenti Challenge is a competition where people can demonstrate their technical skills. It lets people interested in technology have a good time while also giving visibility to Tuenti, a company with deep roots in technology, an opportunity to find highly qualified individuals for its team. The problems are a combination of programming, security and ingenuity challenges.

For those who want to keep hacking or complete any unfinished problems, the webpage for the Challenge will be available until next year ;) Lastly, we’d like to congratulate the top 30 ranked contenders and thank everyone for participating! Now it’s time for the second round.

The excitement is building!
