Another quarter, another Hack Me Up. We've just come to the end of our most creative 48 non-stop hours with the 37th edition of our HMU contest. As always, during these 48 hours, participants have complete freedom to create work groups with colleagues in other areas, teams or offices and develop their own product ideas, separate from their daily jobs.

But these two days are not just for hacking and we have plenty of time to share funny moments. You can check them all out on our new Instagram account.

20 projects were registered in this edition. Let’s get straight to the point; the winners of HMU37 were:

🏆 Web 3.0

The winning project in the Product category was Web 3.0. Team members Sergio Morchón, Sergio Fernandez, Laura Ocaña, Hector Sancho, and Miguel Borges.

“We wanted to have a completely updated experience for the Desktop version of the app from both a Design, Engineering and Product perspective, and taking into account the main areas of the app. We’ve completely reworked the desktop layout, and tried to give it a more modern experience. Furthermore, we wanted to work on a concept for an intelligent, tailored Home page, and giving users more relevant information depending on their lifecycle”.

Miguel Borges

🏆 eSim-tron

The winning project in the Geek category was eSim-tron. Team members Pablo Carcelen, Guille Merino, Jose Miguel Brocal, Wiljan Arias, Irene de la Fuente.

“When developing multiple brands, the login process is a bit painful. Every day, we hear questions like… What user can I use to login in Argentina?

That’s why we decided to develop a new feature that automates the login process, integrating it into the applications. To develop this feature, we relied on the existing ‘Simtron’, a device that reads OTP messages sent to physical SIMs. It is available in IOS and Android and there is a Chrome plugin for the web too. We hope that everyone’s day-to-day will be easier”.
