This summer Malala’s on her Girl Power Trip to meet girls around the world and take their messages directly to world leaders. To help her hear from as many girls as possible, we asked you to tell us why girls are out of school in your community or how you’re fighting for girls’ education.

Last week, we shared Malala’s responses to a few of her favourite postcards — here are a couple more!

Monique, 34, from Brazil, isn’t happy that 13 year-old girls in her community are being married off to men in their 40’s because they can’t go to school. Malala replied:

“Dear Monique, You’re right: education, not marriage, is the best investment we can make in a girl’s future. When I visit Latin America for the first time this year, I promise I will speak against early marriage — and advocate for education for all girls.”

Laurie, 25, from the Netherlands, wrote to tell Malala that she is legally blind — but despite her physical challenges, she just graduated university. Malala’s response:

“Dear Laurie, Well done on your achievement! I’m so proud of you for your courage and determination.”

Over the next few weeks Malala will continue responding to your postcards on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Have a message for Malala? Write her a #GirlPowerTrip postcard — you might hear back!
