“Mommy, it’s Malala!,” a young girl whispered when she spotted Malala in the airport. After traveling to Kurdistan, Iraq and Nigeria earlier that week, Malala was heading back to her home in the UK.

Adesewa and her mother, who is from Mexico, had read “Yo Soy Malala” as a family and couldn’t believe their luck. They asked Malala for a photo — but she did them one better. She offered her a “Girl Power Trip” t-shirt, complete with an autograph.

She had a gift for Malala, too, singing her a song about how she can do anything she puts her mind to.

Adesewa’s birthday is in August and her mom deemed the shirt the “best birthday present ever.”

You can get your very own Girl Power Trip shirt, too. You’ll look great — and help to support Malala Fund’s work for girls’ education around the world.

When you’re fighting for girls, you might as well do it in style.

In April, Malala kicked off her global #GirlPowerTrip to meet with girls and amplify their stories. Each girl has a unique story to tell — and their voices are our most powerful weapons in the fight for education and equality.

Help Malala amplify girls’ voices by getting one of her exclusive “Girl Power Trip” t-shirts, which benefit Malala Fund and help raise awareness and find solutions for the 130 million girls around the world who are out of school.
