Malala Makes Surprise Visit To ‘Malala Book Club’ At High Security Women’s Prison In Denver

Malala made a surprise visit to a high security Denver women’s prison today and discussed with inmates the importance of education, rehabilitation and forgiveness.

A dozen women at the Denver Women’s Correctional Facility were holding their first Malala book club discussion in the prison library when Malala and her father surprised the group by joining their conversation in progress.

Their nearly hour-long discussion included hugs and tears, with all involved saying they were inspired by the conversation.
