My 7-Step Framework to Write Strong Emails Like Top Consultants Do

E-mails are still the most important form of communication in business.

But writing a good Email is not easy. It is a craft you need to learn and practice.

As a former consultant, team lead, and entrepreneur, I’ve had mixed successes with my emails. Some achieved the exact reactions I wanted, while others triggered nothing.

I learned that you can apply the consulting principles of effective communication to emails.

This way, I developed a system for quickly writing emails that get noticed.

But can’t AI do that for me?

Maybe it can to some degree. But here are two reasons not to let AI do the heavy lifting:

  1. Writing teaches you how to think. If you let AI write for you, your clear thinking capabilities will suffer. No matter how good AI gets, you’ll always need to be able to think clearly.
  2. Even if you have an excellent prompt saved or use writing-specific AI models — you’ll always need to know what you want and tweak the message. This alone takes quite a while…
