The four day week is not the answer to your problems

There’s been a lot of press in the past year or so about how a move to a four day working week will be the answer to many of life’s problems.

The campaign has been helped along by Microsoft in Japan announcing that a shift to a four day week has resulted in a near 40% increase in productivity, (source), and Finland’s Prime Minister stating that she believe that a four day work week should be the next step in working life (source).
