Head to Head: Sberbank Christmas Dinner

On December 20 the Christmas dinner of the heads and HR directors of the leading retail chains in the country took place under the auspices of the ACADEMY OF RETAIL. At the invitation of the Honorary President of the Academy, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Sberbank Lev Khasis, the meeting was held in the central office of Sberbank.

More than 50 participants discussed the results of the year and the prospects of the market in the near future. The main action was during the presentations of the heads of functional units and businesses, in which the bank invests. For many years, Sberbank has been a key partner for retail.

On behalf of the Academy, a report was presented on the first steps in the development of non-profit association of retail companies’ top executives. In his presentation, Alexey Filatov, the Managing Director of BBCG, spoke about the lectures of Academicians at the MGIMO and the Russian Academy of Sciences and Technology about the beginning of cooperation with the world’s leading education centers, including Oxford Retail Management Institute, Great Britain.

Within the framework of the open table, heads of HR of large retail players discussed the prospects of the labor market and ways of interacting with target audiences. The meeting ended with a pleasant buffet and viewing corporate projects from the participants of the event. Among the guests were representatives of fashion retail (BAON, TOM TAILOR, Snow Queen, HENDERSON, Finn Flare, OTTO Group), DIY (Hoff, OBI) and traditional players in the food market (AUCHAN, X5 Retail Group, O’KEY).
