April has brought many achievements and changes to Manatee County. We’ve worked to create change and recognize great public service at County Commission meetings and given back to the community by volunteering at events like the Tampa Bay Mega Pantry. We can’t wait to see what May brings!

There were a lot of awards and proclamations at our April 6 commission meeting. County Commissioners celebrated Chase Snyder, Manatee County’s Employee of the Month for April. Chase works in the Public Works department as a Fleet Technician and always gives 100% to whatever he is tasked with. He displays an exceptional eagerness for learning and has a strong desire to grow his skills and experience.

County Commissioners also bid a happy retirement to Susan Ford, Human Services Program Manager. The commission also recognized Fair Housing Month and Public Health Week.

Manatee County Social Media Easter Egg Hunt

Since COVID-19 has changed the way our holidays are celebrated this year, we had to get a little creative! That’s why we held a social media easter egg hunt. Each day for a week we hid Easter eggs around the county and posted clues on our Instagram and Facebook. Each finder of the eggs received a special Manatee County prize bag!
