ManQ is pleased to announce it has become an Institute of Physics affiliated society.

The Institute of Physics (IOP) is the professional body and learned society for physics in the UK and Ireland. The domains of their activities include academia, industry, publishing, and outreach. The IOP also supports the work of university physics societies through their affiliation program. Affiliated societies can benefit from grants, advice, networking, and help at events from the institute.

ManQ will be joining other University of Manchester societies including AstroSoc and NPPS who will be affiliated with the IOP for 2020/21. We hope that the affiliation will help ManQ to continue to contribute to the thriving student physics community at Manchester.

Membership to the IOP is open to all within the field of physics from apprentices and undergraduates to those at the peak of their career. If you’re interested in finding out more about membership and the IOP you can check out their website.
